Today, more than ever before the family unit is under attack. There are many broken families and Brady Bunch families because of not only a lack of family values but also demonic oppression.

As a believing father or mother you want the best for your children. They need nurturing environment that is filled with love and good family values. The world and the demonic spiritual forces are leading people away from good family values. The devil wants people to be estranged and isolated from their family.

The demonic forces want to destroy the innocence and love of the family. They know that the looser the values of the family will allow them to cause people to sin and fall away from God. Which is their ultimate goals. They don’t want you to have a life that is godly, pure, and holy. They make it seem right to go ahead and sin. It is okay to have sex outside of marriage. It is okay to dishonor and disrespect your father and mother. It is okay to hide and lie and do shameful things as long as no one close to you knows what you are doing.

God wants us to have great families and by following his word we can have that. Raising our children to grow in love and God’s word is one of the best things you can do. Praying together and reading the Bible together can lead to better family values and lives.

RESIST the devil and he must flee. Fight him with all your might to defend your family. Be a warrior for Christ, not just a believer. Fight for your family, spouse, and children. Pray for each other, children pray for your parents, parents pray for your children. spouses pray for one another. Pray for protection, pray for faith, pray against sin and the sin nature, pray agains the devil.

Trust in God’s power and stay close to Him. Don’t give up on loving one another, I’m speaking about the family. Jesus said that if you love me you will obey my commands. He also said to love one another as he loved us.

Ephesians 5:22-33 (KJV) – Husbands and Wives:

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Ephesians 6:1-4 (KJV) – Children and Parents:

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Meaning:

• Wives are called to respect and submit to their husbands, as the church is subject to Christ. This is about mutual respect and roles within a loving, Christ-centered relationship.
• Husbands are instructed to love their wives with the same sacrificial, selfless love that Christ has for the church, prioritizing their wives’ well-being and spiritual growth.
• Children are commanded to obey and honor their parents, which is tied to the promise of well-being and long life.
• Parents, especially fathers, are instructed to raise their children with loving discipline and the teaching of the Lord, without provoking anger or frustration in their children.

Our heart at Illumine Ministries is to bless families, keep the strong in the Lord, and support God’s family values.
