I was speaking to someone about how God gives us good seeds to nurture in life. These seeds are the dreams he places in our hearts at conception. We have. choice to follow these dreams and tend to them. We can’t see what they are going to turn into until we are far into the future. But many people get caught up in the worldly things, the cares of this world as Jesus said in one of His parables.

Are you so worried about the cares of this world that you forgot to tend to the seeds that God gave you to take care? The dreams he planted in you as a child. The devil wants you to tend to the weeds, it takes time and effort to remove them and they don’t produce any good fruit if you let them grow. God wants you to tend to the good seeds so you can produce much fruit.

Matthew 13:24-30 (NIV):

“Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

Have you seen a stalk of corn and how many seeds it produces from just one ear of corn. When we tend to God’s seeds it will grow and bear good fruit. We get a continuous harvest from God’s one seed. He gave everyone of us at least one seed to tend to. To some he gave more. But it takes faith to listen to God and focus on what he wants us to do in life. Looking back, I can see that he gave me many opportunities that would have been good for me and my family. But I didn’t tend to them. Some were lost and some withered and died because I didn’t do my part to care for them. Some the devil trampled on and those were lost.

Are you focusing on God’s seeds or the devil’s? In the end the scripture tells us that the master let the weeds grow but at harvest time they will be bundled up and thrown into the fire to be burned. The weeds are not worth tending to and yet some people spend their whole life tending to things that are going to end up in the fire.

Focus on the dreams God gave you. Tend to these and they will produce good fruit. The devil is throwing weeds into your garden, don’t tend to those things, don’t give them your thoughts, concern, or actions. The only concern and action you want to give the devil’s weeds is to remove them and throw them out of your garden. The devil wants you to trade your good seeds for his weeds, don’t let him tempt you. Turn and he must flee. Argue with him like the archangel Michael and rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus.

God gave you good seeds or dreams. Tend to them, it may be a person, your family, children, spouse. It may be a ministry that you are supposed to start. It may be a business. It may be an idea that will change the world. Keep and tend to God’s word that he gave to you, follow the path and the dreams he gave you. Sow God’s seeds into good soil and watch them grow.

Matthew 13:23 (KJV) “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Mark 4:20 (KJV) “And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.”

Luke 8:15 (KJV) “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

The good news is that he gave us One Seed that saved us all. Jesus. Be thankful today and bless the Lord, for his grace and salvation. Take this seed and you can do wonders! It might just give you a harvest of 30, 60, or a 100 fold in this life.
