Why is it that the institutions called government can create and administer laws that determine what a man or woman can or cannot do? But the laws of God are not followed or acknowledged. Why can people lie, commit fraud, do sexual immoral things and not be accountable under the laws of man?

Roman’s 1:18, The wrath of God is shown from heaven against all the godlessness and evil of men who withhold the truth by their wickedness. And in verses 24 and 25, it states that God gave them over to the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.

People have come to worship the creatures in what they call the government and its various forms of institutions by obeying the their laws, statutes and decrees rather than God’s. As worshippers of the most High God, we should diligently follow God’s laws, decrees, and commandments. How can we get the laws created by men and women back in alignment with God’s laws.

Then in the following verses it states that they did not see fit to acknowledge God and He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. The have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are insolent, slanderers, God haters, arrogant and boastful. They are senseless, faithless, heartless, and merciless. They not only continue to do such things but also approve of those who practice them.

So, it is necessary to study God’s laws and live by those. As followers of Christ it is necessary for us to reason and to write the laws of man to align with those of God. There must be deep thought and reasoning to bring about these changes. As a society that wants to do good, we need to honor God by living out His truth and His laws. I cannot foresee a good future without our communities getting right with God and His laws.

It is our worship when we agree with and live by God’s laws, decrees, and commandments. Lord, I pray that the Church, the followers of the Way of the Lord, Yeshua, Jesus, the Christ will come back into alignment with the truth, the life, and the way. I ask that you will raise up the righteous ones to honor you in leading your people to the true laws of God. There are many false teachers and we need God honoring teachers of the law. We need justice and love to prevail in the courts. We need judges who judge righteously, compassionately, and wisely. We need law makers who think deeply and righteously into what becomes the law and be accountable for their errors. I ask that you will intervene and help us get people, the nation, the laws, the justice system back to the laws that you created for mankind. In Jesus’ name I ask for this, amen.

When I first began this ministry, I believed God gave me an assignment: to bring His Word to life. My calling is to share the revelations He gives me about how we can live supernaturally by the truth and Word of God.

Every day, we are faced with a choice—to follow the laws of God or the laws of man. My desire is that the church would rise up and live by God’s laws rather than conforming to man’s.

Throughout Scripture, we see examples where rulers made decrees demanding that God’s people follow the laws of men. In each case, it was the choice of God’s people to obey or to remain faithful to God’s Word. Too often, these decrees were not grounded in truth, but in the whims of those in power.

Today, in the united states, we elect men and women to write laws on our behalf. Yet many times, we do not know their character, wisdom, or background. They rise to power through money, billboards, and advertising—not by being known in their communities for their wisdom and righteousness.

The original concept of a republic was that the people were the kings and queens, and those elected were to serve them, but because of selfish and self serving interests, the laws do not serve the good of the people. If our leaders truly served, we would see our neighborhoods, cities, and states thriving in love, finances, and righteousness. Instead, selfish interests often drive laws that harm rather than heal.

It is time for the church—the true ecclesia—to rise up and bring back the laws of God. I believe that when we do, we will see our cities transform. Christ came to bring forgiveness, change, and freedom through His sacrifice on the cross. He came to set us free from sin. I believe that God wants the ecclesia to change the world by sharing the values of Christ.
 

Let us, therefore, live by the truth of Christ Jesus. Let us love and honor God by obeying His laws, decrees, and commandments.

A Prayer for Our Nation

Lord, I pray that our cities, states, and country will live righteously by Your laws, decrees, and commandments. May Your people choose to follow Your laws rather than man’s laws that oppose Your truth. Strengthen us to walk in righteousness and justice, and let Your kingdom values be established in our land.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Across the board, we hear so many different messages being preached. One church believes one thing, and another believes the complete opposite. But if there is only one Author, why are there so many interpretations and beliefs? Has the message become so fragmented that people can no longer wrap their arms—or their minds—around the truth?

As a new believer, it’s difficult to know who or what to believe. Who is right? Who is wrong?

I believe many churches today hesitate to speak the hard truths that God is calling us to speak—out of fear. Fear of losing members. Fear of losing popularity. Fear of losing financial resources. But ministry should never be about pleasing people. We are called to please an audience of One—God alone.

That’s what I want Illumine Ministries to stand for:

To speak the truth boldly and lovingly—especially the things God wants the Church to speak about, even when they’re uncomfortable or challenging. Because truth leads to freedom, and truth is necessary if people are to live good, godly, and meaningful lives.

The Church—worldwide—should be aligned with the heart of God. If one church says one thing, and another says the opposite, then at least one of them is not in tune with God’s voice or Spirit.

Yes, I understand that the messages preached may differ from city to city or nation to nation depending on context, culture, or season. But as long as we are truly led by the Holy Spirit, we should ultimately be in one accord—united in truth, in love, and in Christ.

I pray that the Church becomes one—not under the leadership of man, but under the leadership of Jesus Christ, Yeshuah Hamashiach.

I pray that each of us will live out the love and laws of God, not from obligation, but from the heart.

I remember going into church for the first time. As the preacher spoke I felt that he somehow knew what I was going through in my life at the time. At the end of the message, the preacher said this, “That God could have made this message just for one person in the audience.” I really believed that God spoke to me that day personally.

I raised my hand and did so again for a few weeks, just in case God didn’t see me the first time. I didn’t consider the person speaking as God, but that he was a messenger, relaying to the audience what God was telling him to say. The truth comes from God.

And yet, today it is very challenging because we must discern whose voice we are listening to, what is the true voice of God. Is the message we listen to from a man, the devil, or God. It is necessary for each one of us to learn to hear God’s voce on our own so that we can discern the voice of truth. The preacher can get it wrong, they are mortal men or women just as any other individual. Jesus can only speak the truth, He cannot lie.

John 14:6 (KJV)

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

If we cannot discern the voice of truth from a lie, how can we know what is good or evil. Can you tell what is good or what is evil? I think there would be so many definitions depending on each person and what there values are and what is going on in there heart. So what is good and what is evil? Jesus said this.

Mark 10:17–18 (KJV)

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

We can’t understand why something is good or evil if we don’t know the truth. We can’t know the truth if we don’t know the Truth. That sounds odd. But what is TRUTH is really the question.

So how does one know what truth is. Most people would define the truth as something that is factual and correct in its entirely. So how can you tell if someone is telling the truth. There must be others who are willing to attest to the facts and that they agree that is what it is. Today we often see multiple sources speaking about a certain topic and they each tell the story exactly as though someone had scripted it and told the other witnesses that this is the truth and the facts are in fact true. But because something is coordinated doesn’t mean that is the truth. Jesus was put on the cross, though he was innocent, because of this. Evil people chose to lie and agree to a story that they did not themselves witness. Witnesses can lie! I think many people can attest to this truth that people will lie and say bad things about other people and hurt their reputation or humiliate them falsely.

If this is the case then merely having others attest to whether someone is telling the truth or something is true cannot by itself be a dictator of the truth.

TRUTH from the Bible is found in Jesus. It is a Being. It is not simply a fact. That may sound difficult to accept, because we are looking at it from our perspective and not from God’s. Everything God speaks is the truth because he can make it come to pass, he can create it if it doesn’t exist.

So if you want to know the truth, then you must know God, and you must have a relationship with Jesus.

I pray that everyone will know the Truth and work on developing a strong relationships with Jesus the Christ. Amen.

As Pilate was questioning Jesus, Pilate made this statement, “What is truth?”

Many people believe that truth is found in words or pictures that are factual in content and context. Perhaps, but there is another context where we find truth, it is in Christ Jesus. Many people don’t know the truth. We are often deceived by words or pictures created by people, spiritual forces, wicked things. People don’t even try to know the truth.

Why?

Someone once told me this, “You can’t handle the truth!” At the time, I was asking for honesty about a situation. Later, I realized that the person who made this statement didn’t want to divulge the truth, not for my sake, but for hers. She was the one who couldn’t handle the truth. I think many people don’t want to speak or even know the truth because they can’t handle the truth. It would reveal who they are inside.

John 18:37–38 (King James Version)

37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Jesus describes himself as the truth. There is no lie in Christ. He cannot lie. And yet we question God on almost everything that we don’t like because people want what they want, they want to do what they want to do.

John 14:6 (KJV):

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

To know the truth is to know Jesus. He is the truth. And people who are in sin don’t want to know the truth, they live in a lie. They live according to their own “truths” or rather lies. Now most people would say who would want to live a life of lies. My answer is many people because they find it easier to lie than to face the truth about themselves.

Even in a church the pews are filled with people who don’t want to hear the truth. They sit in pews where words are told to them and it makes them feel good. Then they go out and do the things that God hates and think that they are good people because no one told them that what they are doing is wrong and they are sinning.

Jesus also said that if you want to hear His voice then you must be of the truth. Hearing the voice of Jesus requires living in the truth. When you start to live in the truth you get closer to God, His voice can be heard. It will help you to discern who is speaking to you, is it the demons or is it the voice of truth, Jesus. If you want to get closer to Jesus it takes truthful and authentic living.

If you truly want to be saved. then the truth will set you free. Jesus cannot live in a lie, he cannot live in you when you are lying or hiding the truth. It’s time to be set free. Start to speak the truth. Confess your sins to the Lord ask to be forgiven. Repent and turn away from all the lies of your past. It is hard, and it takes courage to live in the truth. The truth holds you accountable to live a God honoring life. It takes courage and resolve. Be strong and courageous.

Lord, I pray that people will know the truth and live authentic lives, I pray that they will know you as their Lord and Savior. Jesus is the truth, the life, and the way to their salvation. Not by works but by faith and truth and love in the Spirit. I pray that they will know you more and more and that their lives will be clean, righteous, and good. I pray that they will be able to speak and receive truth in love. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.

All you were trying to do was love others and do good. And you can’t understand why people would want to hurt you for doing good to them. They wanted to take you down, they told others not to help you or to stay away from helping you. They said bad things about you behind your back.

King David said that it was better for an enemy to hurt him rather than someone he trusted like a brother.

Psalm 55:12-14

For it is not an enemy who insults me;
that I could endure.
It is not a foe who rises against me;
from him I could hide.
But it is you, a man like myself,
my companion and close friend.
We shared sweet fellowship together;

The Bible gives us insight into this, that it is not necessarily a man or woman but evil and wicked things in high places. The challenging part is to discern the difference between the man or woman or the spirit. How do you address the issue without damaging the man or woman?

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 KJV

Many people are hurt because of the ability of these demonic spirits to manipulate, coerce, even control people to hurt people who are doing good in their lives. These people often come into your life as sheep in wolf’s clothing. the Bible tells us that the evil one comes as an angel of light. He pretends to be someone good but in reality he is just an evil pretentious being. Don’t be fooled by these demonic entities in people.

But how do you discern whether the person is truly good or just pretending to be good. It is difficult because they will go to great lengths to fool you. Creating false paperwork, documents, testimonies to prove to you that they are good and trustworthy, when in fact they are lying to you. And when they do have foothold into your life or business that is when they are capable of doing greater harm to you, emotionally, financially, physically, and spiritually.

There is a battle for souls going on in the world. The ones who are wary and knowledgeable will be able to survive and win. It is important that you are not complacent or lazy, that is when the enemy does its most damage. They lull you into submission and lead you to destruction. I was thinking about the millions who died in the holocaust where there are pictures of people just standing in line to be slaughtered. I wondered what would have happened if everyone of them had fought there hardest together. I think they would have been able to change their destiny.

In this battle for your destiny, fight the good fight and win. Stay diligent, stay alert, be strong in the Lord and you will be able to win and help others to win.

Lord, I pray that people are discerning and aware of what is happening in the world today. What may seem pleasant may be a lure into the trap of the devil, the schemers, the evil ones that want to lull you into complacency and submission. I pray that people will stay alert and fight for love and justice. I pray that your people will be prayerful and keep themselves and their loved ones from sin. I ask this in your Son’s precious name, Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Many Christians are living under man’s laws, decrees, statutes, and commands and not following God’s laws. It could be that some people believe that God’s laws don’t apply to governance and the people. I remember reading a book by Chuck Coulson and he recommended that Christians stay out of politics. I guess the idea of the separation of church and state was his premise for such a statement. I disagree with him, the laws of God apply to everyone and if used wisely it would be better for our society to be governed by these laws rather than man’s.

The united states of America was founded on God’s principles and values. It was the idea that Man could govern himself and we didn’t need a king to rule over us if we followed the principles and values of God. Not just any God, but the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the Bible. The separation of church and state was meant to keep the government out of the church not the other way around. It is funny how the devil turns things around. He makes good evil and evil good.

So, in this series we are going to discuss the laws of man and the government in the context of the Bible. We are going to apply the biblical values to our lives and the laws that we are to live by. Should it be Man’s or God’s.

I’ve been reading about how we’ve been trapped in a system designed to keep us as slaves—spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Powerful forces control the narrative of how we should live and whom we should serve. But there’s a movement calling people to step out of this worldly system. I call it leaving Egypt.

In this series, we’ll explore why it’s essential to choose the Kingdom of Heaven over the systems of this world. Just as the Israelites were hesitant to leave Egypt despite their suffering, many today cling to the illusion of safety within a system that enslaves them. But God had greater plans for the Israelites, just as He does for us. He wanted them to be free, and He wants us to experience that same freedom.

God’s desire is for His children—Christians—to live in His Kingdom. The Bible foretells a time when His people would return to their true homeland. That homeland isn’t a physical place; it’s the Kingdom of God, where Christ reigns. It’s time to embrace this calling and move toward where God wants us to be—living in His Kingdom.

In His Kingdom, we can live freely, no longer enslaved by the Pharaohs of this world. Today’s Pharaohs are the systems that control our lives: governments, banks, insurance companies, stock and bond markets, pharmaceutical and medical industries, military contractors, and even the entertainment industry.

These forces place heavy burdens on us daily—working us harder and harder, taxing our income, homes, land, and even cars. We pay for water, sewer, electricity, and homeowners insurance, all of which are cleverly disguised forms of taxation. They live off the fruits of our labor while keeping us in a perpetual cycle of toil.

Even more deceptive is the “law” we are told to obey. These are not God’s laws but policies issued by corporations masquerading as authority. They have no right to impose these policies on us, yet we are inundated daily with rules and mandates that don’t apply to the citizens of Heaven.

Our goal is to discover and bring to light God’s laws and understand how they apply to our daily lives. We are called to worship the Lord with both our hearts and our minds, seeking His wisdom and truth above all else.

Lord, I pray that we will live God-honoring lives in Your Kingdom. That we will use our minds and hearts in ways that honor You in our families and communities. I ask that You guide us as we study Your laws and how You want us to apply them to our lives. Thank You for Your wisdom and love. In Jesus’ name, I pray this. Amen.

There are false prophets in the church practicing sorcery and divination, practices that God strictly forbids. Why? Because the source of these messages cannot be trusted. While some individuals may have a gift for perceiving details about a person’s background or future, we must be cautious and discerning when encountering such spirits.

It is critical that we ensure we are listening to the Holy Spirit of God and not being led astray. Today, many are turning to the wrong spirits or guides, often in moments of crisis or uncertainty. They seek answers about the future—whether more sorrow, lack, or illness awaits them. It’s human nature to want to know what lies ahead. Investors wish they could predict the stock market; others long to know if tomorrow will bring disaster or joy. But God calls us to focus on Him, trusting in His love and guidance instead of seeking control over the unknown.

Even within the church, we must exercise caution when listening to someone prophesying about the future. Many mistake prophets for psychics, hoping they will reveal personal fortunes or predict events. This misunderstanding can lead us to misuse or misinterpret prophecy.

The Purpose of Prophecy

Paul gives us a clear guideline in 1 Corinthians 14:3:

“But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging, and comfort.”

True prophecy serves to edify, encourage, and bring comfort to the body of Christ. It is not a tool for fortune-telling or satisfying personal curiosity. The Greek word for prophecy, προφητεία (prophēteia), emphasizes its sacred purpose:

• The inspired message delivered by a prophet.

• It can include teaching, encouragement, correction, or revealing future events.

God knows when someone is speaking from their imagination rather than His Spirit. If He has not given His word, it is not to be declared as His message. Declaring personal thoughts or opinions as divine revelation is deceitful. Imagine someone delivering a message or using your name to give it credibility when it didn’t come from you—it would make you angry, wouldn’t it? This is exactly how God feels when His name is misused to deliver human messages.

Warnings from Scripture

God’s Word strongly rebukes false prophets. Consider the warnings in Ezekiel:

• Ezekiel 13:2-3:

“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!’”

• Ezekiel 13:6-7:

“Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say, ‘The Lord declares,’ and expect Him to fulfill their words. Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, ‘The Lord declares,’ though I have not spoken?”

• Ezekiel 13:8-9:

“‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord. My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.’”

Additionally, God’s law in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 is clear:

“Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”

A Call to Discernment

Practicing divination or falsely prophesying in God’s name is detestable to Him. As believers, we must use discernment when speaking and hearing messages presented as prophecy. Distinguishing between divination and God’s voice requires maturity and spiritual practice.

How to Discern God’s Voice

Hearing God’s voice and recognizing it comes from daily communion with Him:

• Spend time in prayer and in the Word.

• Be still in God’s presence to learn His voice.

• Test every message against Scripture and seek confirmation through prayer and godly counsel.

• Walk in faith, trusting that His Spirit will guide you.

Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). It takes consistent practice—through hearing and obeying—to truly know the voice of the Lord.

A Prayer for Guidance

Lord, I pray that we may hear Your voice clearly and follow You faithfully. Teach us to listen and obey, and to discern Your Spirit from all others. Draw us nearer to You each day. Transform our hearts and minds so we may walk in Your ways, just as Jesus did, doing what He saw the Father doing. Thank You for Your love, guidance, and patience. Speak to us daily, Lord—we are listening. Amen.

Let us commit to seeking God’s voice and walking in His truth. Trust Him, for He is faithful.

Pick a side, choose God or the world. He wants you to completely choose Him. No one wants someone that plays for the other team, or a spouse that sometimes is with another person and sometimes with them. They would rather you leave. God deems it so unbearable that it would make Him vomit.

God often chastises Israel for their unfaithfulness to him. He considers the worshipping of idols adultery. choosing another God over Him is unfaithful. Choose God. He sent His Son to die for you on the cross. He loves you and wants you to wholeheartedly choose Him. You can’t have idols in your heart. The riches and pleasures of the world are idols.

This is hard for many people even the rich young man told Jesus that it was too hard for him to sell everything and follow Him. Matthew 19:21-22 “Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”

This challenges many of us today, when God calls us to do something that makes us give up everything to follow Him. Are we going to be lukewarm or choose to follow God wholeheartedly? I see people in the church who are pro-abortion and some that are pro-life. There are people who are getting divorced to marry someone else’s wife or husband. There are people who are in the church just looking for clients and not seeking the Lord.

Lord, give us a heart after your own heart. Let us choose to follow you. There are so many temptations, especially those that give us comfort or pleasure, that hold us back from following you wholeheartedly. Help us to get the commandment to love you with all our hearts right.
